CP Ludhiana leads Ravidas Shobha Yatra with a message to imbibe legendary Guru's teachings of amity and brotherhood 

Exhorting people to vigorously follow and adopt philosophy of Guru Ravidas Ji, Commissioner of Police Mandeep Singh Sidhu on Saturday said that  legendary Guru's teachings of brotherhood and equality were more relevant than ever before.

Ludhiana, February 4: Exhorting people to vigorously follow and adopt philosophy of Guru Ravidas Ji, Commissioner of Police Mandeep Singh Sidhu on Saturday said that  legendary Guru's teachings of brotherhood and equality were more relevant than ever before. 

Leading the Shobha Yatra on the 646th Jayanti celebrations, the City Police Commissioner while offering tributes to Guru Ravidas on behalf of his police force, said individual & collective peace and progress could only be achieved if we inculcate what our great Gurus taught us. 

Sidhu extended warm greetings to citizens on the special occasion and prayed for state's progress. "It is an honour and privilege to be leading the Shobha Yatra on the auspicious occasion of Guru Ji's Jayanti. The religious fervour and gaiety reflects our values and ethos," the CP stated. 

Reiterating City Police's commitment to ensure a safe and conducive environment, he thanked the city residents and social organisations for always being proactive in extending cooperation to authorities. ADCP Rupinder Kaur Sra along with the top brass of City Police were also present on the occasion. 

The Shobha Yatra commenced from Guru Ravi Das Chowk Basti Jodhewal and rounded off at the same location. Elaborate security arrangements and traffic diversions were in place for smooth conduct of the festivities with nearly 200 police personnel manning the route, the spokesperson of CP Office revealed.
