Covid Care OPD (Flu Corner) and 24X7 helpline number inaugurated

Ludhiana, January 10, 2022: For the convenience of general public and to provide the best medical care facilities, DMCH has started COVID Care OPD and 24x7 helpline numbers (98759-32675, 9872004539) near physiotherapy Department of DMCH. This OPD will be functional 24x7 hours and any patient (with asymptomatic / with mild symptoms) can avail the facilities.

The OPD was inaugurated by Varinder Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana along with Dr S P Singh, Civil Surgeon Ludhiana, ADC Jagroan Dr Nayan Jassal, Dr Bishav Mohan, Professor Department of cardiology and Medical Superintendent Hero DMC Heart  Institute. Other present on the occasion were Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Medical Sudts. Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary & Dr Sandeep Sharma, Dr Rajesh Mahajan and Dr Vandana Midha, Professor Department of Medicine.

Giving information about the OPD, Secretary DMCH Managing Society Prem Kumar Gupta said that DMCH has always been on the forefront in providing best medical care facilities to the COVID patients. The helpline has been set up to guide the patients about their health problems on the phone and provide a unique facility of contacting the concerned doctor and paramedical staff,  said Mr Gupta.

According to Dr Bishav Mohan, Professor Department of Cardiology said that an expert team of doctors and support staff members was formed to provide the services at this COVID Care OPD. This OPD will be functional from 9:00 am to 4:00pm. Any patient who have (asymptomatic / with mild symptoms) can get the facilities.

Dr Rajesh Mahajan, Professor Department of Medicine said that, other facilities including doctor consultation, lab investigations, pharmacy facilities, Ambulance facilities will also be given to the patients. Home isolation support program has also started for the COVID19 patients, monitoring of vitals and symptoms through  telephonically, complete guidance of precautionary measures, dietician consultation and facility for psychological and emotionally well-being will be provided under this program  said Dr Mahajan.
