Covid 19: Aas-Ehsaas NGO distributing sanitary napkins amongst women 

Ludhiana: In view of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic, and to support the District Administration in its efforts to combat this disease, several NGOs are also supporting the district administration. Aas-Ehsaas NGO, under the leadership of Mrs Gunjeet Ruchi Bawa, have always took Women health and hygiene as its most important priority.
    Even during this Pandemic of Covid-19, Aas-Ehsaas which is serving packed langar to 1000 people daily has on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, ADC (Development) Mrs Amrit Singh, SDM Ludhiana (West) Mr Amrinder Singh Malhi, SDM Ludhiana (East) Mr Amarjit Singh Bains took initiative to deliver 1000 Sanitary Napkins to women in slum areas, as due to lockdown the women in slum areas were unable to afford and procure the Napkins.
    Ms Ruchi Bawa along with Mrs Rashmi, District Child Protection Officer, Ludhiana also taught women the importance of using Sanitary Napkins to keep them hygienic and healthy. It is pertinent to mention that this NGO has also set up Corona Disinfection Tunnel at District Administrative Complex, here, which is proving very beneficial for all visitors as well as the staff.
