Coveted title of Miss South Asia World 2020 won by PU student

Chandigarh: Dr Shatakshi, a graduate in Bachelors in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery from Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh and currently a student of first semester ,Masters in Public Health, Panjab University, Chandigarh won the title of Miss South Asia World 2020, which happened virtually on 14th December,2020 due to Covid . Bollywood actors, directors and singers were in the judging panel and she  represented INDIA at international level (USA).
She competed with participants from other countries and managed to make INDIA proud by bringing the crown home. She even got crowned as Miss Radiant Beauty and 2nd Runner Up of Talent Round. She has been a part of many shoots as well as honored to be  in the judging panel as the celebrity guest and a part of a hospitality event in Mumbai where the ministers of Maharashtra and bollywood celebrities were present.

Shatakshi  strongly believes life isn't always a bed of roses, so falling down is a part of life and getting back up is living.Apart from being a doctor, She is passionate about dancing. Being equally active in sports, she has won several medals in horse riding and has been a part of many beauty pageants. 

She participated in the first pageant Miss Punjab in 2018, then in Miss North India 2019 where she was crowned with this title. Having always wanted to participate in a national level pageant, she participated in Eva India in 2019 where she was crowned as Eva India 2nd runner up and Miss Beautiful Eyes.

Dr Savita Prashar, Coordinator Center for Public Health, PU shared her happiness for her winning the title. She conveyed her heartiest felicitations on this achievement and said she has proved to be Beauty with Brains and wished her success in her future endeavours.
