Punjab Govt standing rock solid with farmers: Kamaljit Singh Karwal

Ludhiana: MC Councillor Mrs Mamta Ashu today said that the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is committed for carrying out overall development of the state and that is why, it is focussing on providing best civic amenities to its residents. She said that grants worth crores have been allotted to each constituency so that all pending as week as new works are completed on priority basis.
    She said this while laying the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 1.30 crore in ward number 44 of the city. She also inaugurated some other development projects near Gurudwara Sukhmani Sahib, HIG flats and MIG flats in Dugri area. She was also accompanied by area councillor Mr Harkaran Singh Vaid, Senior Congress leader Mr Kamaljit Singh Karwal, besides several others.
    While speaking to media persons on the occasion, Mr Harkaran Singh Vaid said that he is fully committed to develop ward number 44 of Ludhiana as a model ward. He said that development is being carried out in this ward as per the directions of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu. He said that all civic amenities are being provided to the residents of this ward on priority basis.
    Mr Kamaljit Singh Karwal said that the Punjab government has always believed in carrying the overall development of the state. While taking an aim at the Union government, Mr Karwal said that the Narendra Modi government is behaving in a dictatorial manner and not caring about the farmers. He said that the farmers are not only protesting against the farm laws, but for protecting the livelihood of all of us because every person is connected either directly or indirectly with the agriculture profession. He assured that the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is standing rock solid with the farmers.
