Cooch Behar Trophy 2021-22 U-19 at Pune Elite A Group-Punjab vs Jharkhand

Chandigarh, December 6, 2021: Punjab State Cooch Behar Trophy U-19 Men’s Team played their second Inter-State match for Cooch Behar Trophy 2021-22 against Jharkhand State Cricket Association at Azam Campus, Pune, Maharashtra.
Punjab won the toss and elected to bat. Batting first Punjab team was bowled out for 146 runs in 50.3 overs in their first innings. Ashish scored 49 runs off 48 balls with help of six boundaries and two sixes, Dhruv Rahul Jindal scored 25 runs off 53 balls  with help of  four boundaries, and Krish Bhagat scored 20 runs off 26 balls  with help of four boundaries were the main run-getters for Punjab in their first innings. Sahil Raj 6 /11 was the most successful wicket-taker for Jharkhand.
Replying Jharkhand has scored 90 runs for loss of 2 wickets down in 31 overs before end of play of day 1. Shikhar Mohan scored 57 runs off 88 balls with help of eight boundaries and two sixes and Sharandeep Singh scored unbeaten 28 runs off 80 balls with help of  five boundaries were the main run-getters for Jharkhand in their first innings. Ashish took 2 wickets for 28 runs and was the most successful wicket-taker for Punjab on day 1 .
