Contract Safai Karamchari Union Chandigarh  Appoints Sumit Gini as Chief Advisor

During a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Contract  Safai Karamchari  (Sanitation Workers')  Union  (Regd. 705), Medical Officer of Health (MOH), Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, Sumit Gini was appointed as the Chief Advisor of the union.

Chandigarh, July 30, 2026: During a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Contract  Safai Karamchari  (Sanitation Workers')  Union  (Regd. 705), Medical Officer of Health (MOH), Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, Sumit Gini was appointed as the Chief Advisor of the union. On the occasion, he was presented with his appointment letter and a memento in recognition of his appointment.
Expressing his gratitude to the union for the honour, Sumit Gini said that he would make every effort to live up to the trust reposed in him by the organisation. He assured the members that he would work with complete dedication, sincerity and commitment to safeguard the interests and rights of contract sanitation workers and would make every possible effort to ensure that their genuine demands and grievances are addressed.
The programme was attended by Union President Rakesh Kumar, along with Pawan Atwal, Ravinder Lot, Ravi Adival, Sanjeev, and other office-bearers. Parveen Shah, Chairman of the Valmiki Samaj, was also present as a special guest and was honoured on the occasion.
Union office-bearers expressed confidence that Sumit Gini's experience, guidance and leadership would further strengthen the organisation and help raise the issues concerning contract sanitation workers effectively before the concerned authorities. They said that his association with the union would prove to be a significant asset in protecting the rights of workers and advancing their welfare.
A large number of union members also attended the meeting and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the organisation.
