Congress government has not done any development work in Punjab in last four years: Jarnail Singh

Ludhiana: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab in-charge and MLA from Delhi, Jarnail Singh lashed out at Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh-led state government, stating that no development work had taken place in Punjab for the last four years. He said that Captain Amarinder Singh, who took the oath of Sri Gutka Sahib before the elections and made many promises, seems to be backtracking on every promise. Jarnail Singh on Wednesday visited Bassi Pathana, Doraha, Jagraon and Payal, to campaign for the Aam Aadmi Party candidates for the upcoming municipal bodies' elections. On the occasion, Jarnail Singh conducted spectacular road shows in favour of the AAP candidates and received an overwhelming response from the people.

Slamming Captain Amarinder Singh government, he said that the region was neglected, despite the fact that a minister and Congress MLAs belong to the district. Jarnail Singh said that the Captain government had not done anything for the people in the last 4 years and fearing defeat, the Congress party was now trying to loot the elections in the municipal bodies' elections. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party candidates had been harassed and intimidated, a few days ago, by the Congress goons at various places with the intention of looting the elections. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party candidates should be elected from the municipal council, keeping in view the need to eradicate corruption, clean streets and drains, clean drinking water and other works in the city. "Now, the people have a chance to change, they should use their vote on February 14 to elect honest and qualified candidates," he added.

Jarnail Singh said that the people of Punjab would now hold Congress accountable for non-fulfillment of promises made by Captain Amarinder Singh. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party would form the government in Punjab in 2022. "With formation of the AAP government in Punjab, public institutions would be made successful like Arvind Kejriwal's government in Delhi," he added. Jarnail Singh said that like Delhi, people of Punjab would be provided better health facilities, better education in government schools and corruption free administration. He said that with the formation of the AAP government, the tax money collected from the people would be spent on their welfare and not to fill own pockets and that of the cronies, like the present Captain government.
