Chandigarh, August 25, 2025: One-Week Online AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Next Generation Biomaterials: Clinical Translation through Machine Learning” concluded at Panjab University.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sardar Beant Singh State University (SBSSU), Gurdaspur had organised the AICTE ATAL FDP from August 18 to 23, 2025.
As many as 125 registered delegates from diverse states and Union Territories like Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Mizoram, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana participated in the programme.
Eminent resource persons including Dr. MAH-Gepreel (Egypt), Dr. Arnab Chandra (IIT Delhi), and Dr. Ravi Prakash Nath Tripathi (Panjab University) delivered expert sessions on cutting-edge developments in biomaterials, machine learning applications, and clinical translation.
The inaugural session featured a Welcome Address by Prof. Shankar Sehgal, FDP Coordinator, followed by an insightful keynote by Chief Guest Mr. Gurjeet Singh Kohli, noted industrialist, who urged researchers to focus on indigenous innovations for national progress. The guest of Honour, Prof. Manu Sharma, Director TEC, CIIPP, motivated participants to engage in patents, start-ups, and technology transfers.
The FDP was highly appreciated by the participants for its comprehensive technical sessions, interactive discussions, and research-driven insights.
