Comprehensive cordon and search operation undertaken in all areas falling under Police Commissionerate Ludhiana

Ludhiana, July 9, 2022: A comprehensive cordon and search operation was undertaken under supervision of Gurpreet Deo, ADGP CAD and Dr Kaustubh Sharma, CP Ludhiana. 

All senior officials, including Joint CP rural, ADCP 4 , 2 ACPs , 5 SHOs , 3 Chowki incharges alongwith 250 police personnel conducted detailed search in areas around  Central Jail in Preet Nagar,Tajpur Road ,Farid Colony  to search for criminal elements and contraband.

The area has been cordoned off and intensive search is being  carried out in the area from 11:30 am to 3 pm.
Gurpreet Kaur Deo stated that this operation was undertaken to instil a sense of security amongst common man and fear amongst the bad elements.

The ADGP said that the topmost priority of the Punjab Government, as directed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is to further strengthen the fight against drugs to make Punjab a drug-free state besides eliminating gangster culture, maintaining law and order, and detection of crime.

She stressed on the need to revive basic policing which includes keeping vigil in vulnerable spots and be always ready to handle any kind of anticipated law and order situation, monitoring crime data, inspections of Police Stations, looking after the welfare of Police Personnel, etc.

While soliciting the support and cooperation of the public, she reassured the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government to eradicate drug menace and Gangsters from the state and push towards peace and harmony of Punjab.
