Complete ban imposed on entry of domestic and foreign tourists to Kangra district: DC
Volvo run by Himachal tourism suspended till further notice
Dharamshala: Deputy Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Kumar Prajapati has informed that in view of the possible threat of Corona epidemic, in compliance with the instructions issued by the Himachal Pradesh government, the entry of domestic and foreign tourists into Kangra district has been completely banned till further orders. He said that due to some cases of this disease in the marginal states, this step has been taken historically. Prajapati said that necessary steps have already been taken by the administration to ensure that there is no gathering of people. He informed that only after thorough examination of vehicles coming from other states at all the entrance gates of the district, their entry into the district has been ensured.
He said that all educational institutions in the district have already been closed by 31 March 2020 and restrictions on all types of religious events, fairs, festivals, sports competitions and other such events are in progress. He appealed to the people for cooperation and said that they should leave their homes only when there is urgent work. He said that people should visit other offices of the district including DC office only when there is urgent work and do not gather unnecessary crowds at any place.
On the other hand, Mr Yunus IAS, Director of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has informed that The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has suspended its Volvo bus services operating between Shimla –Delhi-Shimla and Manali-Delhi-Manali routes as a preventive measure for spread of Covid -19 Corona Virus till further notice.
Instructions have also been circulated to all HPTDC units for regular cleaning of the premises with disinfectants and follow the guidelines issued by the Department of Health, Govt of India and Govt of HP to contain the spread of this virus.
