Rohtak, September 25, 2026: Strong communication skills can give students a crucial edge in job interviews and career growth, said communication expert Sunit Mukherjee during a special session for UIET students.
Mukherjee, faculty member in MDU’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, trained students in the finer points of job interviews, group discussions and presentations, stressing that effective communication is not just about speaking well but also about listening, body language and connecting with the audience.
He urged students to communicate with clarity, confidence and creativity, sharing the mantra: “Communicate to Connect, Communicate to Express Creativity and Communicate to Achieve Career Goals.”
Mukherjee advised students to make newspapers, career magazines and inspirational books part of their regular reading to improve vocabulary, awareness and confidence.
An interactive session followed the lecture, with students putting questions on communication and career development. Students Sakshi and Asmita anchored the programme. UIET faculty members Prof Manjeet Kaur, Dr Manjeet Beniwal Budhwar and Dr Chanchal Hooda were present.
