Comedy drama Ishq Remix made 5th evening of ongoing Natyam Festival full of laughter

Bathinda, October 6, 2022: The 5th evening of the 11th Theatre Festival organized by Natyam Punjab under the leadership of Chairman Kashish Gupta, President Sudarshan Gupta, and Director Kirti Kripal at MRSPTU Campus, Bathinda was full of laughter. On this occasion, the team of Chandigarh School of Drama presented the comedy play 'Ishq Remix' penned by Davinder Gill, under the direction of Ikatar. In this play, the well-known romantic characters of Mirza-Sahiba, and Heer-Ranjha were presented in modern form, which hit the audience with numerous jokes and unstoppable comedy; along with the serious issues of present Punjab such as gun culture, drugs, youth not taking interest in studies and going abroad, and exploitation of relationships through IELTS, etc. were highlighted.

On the 5th evening of this 15-day theatre festival being organized by Natyam Punjab in association with North Zone Cultural Center Patiala, Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi, Haryana Kala Parishad, and Sangeet Natak Akademi, respected personalities including Shri Rahul, ADC Bathinda, Madam Inayat, SDM, Punjab Traders Board Chairman Anil Thakur, eminent businessman and social activist Amarjeet Mehta, specialist neuro-surgeon Dr. Ronit graced the event by lighting the lamp, Dr. Gurinderpal Singh, Registrar, MRSPTU, Arijit Goyal from Paris City Bathinda and AAP spokesperson Neil Garg also accompanied them. The guests appreciated the efforts of the Natyam team and assured to provide all the possible help.
