COLORS brings a new wave of ‘dinner-tainment’ with its family show 'Pati Patni Aur Panga - Jodiyon Ka Reality Check'

Mumbai: Sirf reality show nahi, REAL-ationship show lekar aa raha hain COLORS! Right after its 17th anniversary, the OG disruptor of non-fiction television is back at it again. ‘Laughter Chefs’ served its final course, but the feast of ‘dinner-tainment’ continues with the channel’s first REAL-lationship show, ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga- Jodiyon Ka Reality Check’. Gatecrashing the most sacred institution of all - shaadi, the channel plates a hearty dose of exceptional entertainment that takes Indian families beyond couple goals and deep into the everyday masti and pangas of real-life celebrity marriages. While competing against each other, seven renowned couples open their hearts and homes to take on fun challenges. This reality show pulls back the curtain on the love languages, the effort, the tiny triumphs, the unfinished sentences, ridiculous nicknames, and the silly fights that keep the relationship ticking. Nivea Body Milk Presents Pati Patni Aur Panga… Jodiyon Ka Reality Check. Co-powered by Sugar Free Green, Rajdhani Besan, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Pour Home Air Fresheners and Envy Perfumes. Special Partner Vikram Tea, Colgate and Catch Masale, premieres on 2nd August, and thereafter airs every Saturday and Sunday at 09:30 PM, only on COLORS.
Bollywood’s beloved queen Sonali Bendre will be stepping in as a host, along with co-host and stand-up sensation, Munawar Faruqui, packing the panga in their signature flair. Joining this shaadiyaapa-filled ride are fan-favourite jodis: Debinna Bonnerjee-Gurmeet Choudhary, Hina Khan-Rocky Jaiswal, Rubina Dilaik-Abhinav Shukla, Avika Gor-Milind Chandwani, Swara Bhasker-Fahad Ahmad, Geeta Phogat-Pawan Kumar, and Sudesh Lehri-Mamta Lehri, each bringing their own quirks and chemistry. Nicknamed The Sonu-Monu Show thanks to Sonali and Munawar’s hilarious chemistry, the premiere episode sets the tone with playful teasing, unexpected debates, and countless truth bombs. From arguments over who runs the house to foot-in-mouth moments that leave everyone in splits, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions as secrets are spilled, nerves are tested, and vulnerability bubbles up. Behind the designer wardrobes and seemingly glamourous perfect lives, these celeb jodis show us that they argue, love, sulk, and pull pangas just like the rest of us. With the celebs’ family members, housekeepers, and a whole lot of real-life chaos entering the mix, it’s clear that fame changes a lot, but relationships are gloriously the same. Amid all this pangebaazi, who's got what it takes to win the most entertaining showdown among couples.
Alok Jain, JioStar, said, “COLORS has always bet big on novel forms of entertainment and Pati Patni Aur Panga is a natural extension of that glorious legacy. As a pioneer in India’s non-fiction space, we’ve constantly shown that television isn’t just relevant — it’s evolving, thriving, and here to stay. Bringing stars closer to the audiences, Pati Patni Aur Panga, COLORS’ first REAL-ationship show dives into the undercurrents of companionship. In this marriage of format and feeling, the channel turns the spotlight onto what holds pati-patni together, through the texture of everyday connections that are sure to be relatable for our viewers. This daring leap is the next chapter in our dinner-tainment journey and we’re proud to lead it. We welcome our sponsors onboard not just valued partners, but as members of the COLORS family and thank them for their trust in this new exciting property.”
Shweta Dalal, Marketing Director of Nivea India said, “At Nivea, we’ve always believed that the strongest bonds are built on care, trust, and authenticity; values resonating with the heart of Pati Patni Aur Panga. As the presenting sponsor of this truly unique REAL-ationship show, we’re excited to step into the living rooms of India in a way that feels relatable and refreshingly honest. This association with COLORS allows us to be part of a show that mirrors the everyday joys and challenges of companionship, opening up new avenues to connect with our consumers in meaningful ways. We thank the channel for this partnership, and we look forward to building greater visibility and emotional relevance for Nivea across a wider, more diverse audience.”
Stepping into the role of the host, Sonali Bendre shares, “Pati Patni Aur Panga whisks me off to a space that’s more real and emotionally charged than anything I’ve done on television before. I’m not just hosting the show through tasks; I’m witnessing unfiltered emotion, explosive laughter, and those special moments that speak louder than grand gestures. These celebrity couples strip away the spotlight and show up as themselves. And that takes guts because being vulnerable and letting the world in on your relationship is no cake walk. But that’s what makes this show so compelling and entertaining. It feels like being welcomed into someone’s living room—where there’s laughter and the magic that lives in the mundane. With Munawar bringing in his infectious energy and wit, and me bringing calm and context, we strike a beautiful balance. And now, we can’t wait to entertain audiences with COLORS’ first REAL-lationship show.”
All set to bring the chaos, Munawar Faruqui said, “Pati Patni Aur Panga is where I get to be the official panga maker, calling out all the towel crimes, kitchen blunders, and those epic one-word replies that couples think they can get away with. I’m stepping in as the co-host who brings the panga, the one saying what most husbands are thinking but would never dare say on record. Sonali ma’am brings the grace, the empathy, the patni perspective. I bring the comebacks, the chaos, and a reality check from the pati’s point of view. That balance is what makes this show a blast. This show captures authentic relationships in all their unpredictability—one minute these jodis are in perfect sync, and the next, the panga sneaks up on them! The show offers viewers a front-row seat to the ups, downs, and in-betweens of the married life and I think India’s going to enjoy every bit of it.”
