Christmas season bring many reasons to celebrate & gather

Ludhiana, December 16, 2017: Christmas is celebrated as a season of joy, love and peace. It marks the birth of the Savior Lord Jesus Christ. It is all about the joy of brightening others lives, bearing each other’s burdens, easing other loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts of love and peace. Christmas is celebrated every year with great joy, happiness and enthusiasm like other festivals throughout the world. It falls every year on 25th of December. The Christmas season bring many reasons to celebrate & gather. Every year this sacred day is observed with religious zeal and sincere prayers in the premises of College of Nursing. This year it was celebrated on December 16th, 2017.

Prof. Ponnamma R. Singh, Principal, College of Nursing welcomed the gathering.

The dignitaries, guests, teachers and students joined the college choir to sing traditional and modern Christmas carols. The opening prayer and the Christmas message was given by Rev. A. Rogers from Fellowship Department. The whole gathering was then enlightened with the message from the Director Dr. Abraham G. Thomas. He gave an inspiring Christmas message which reminded us of the love and peace brought to earth by Jesus Christ. He wished the staff and students a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The soulful and pleasant carols by students mesmerized all and filled the air with happiness. Continuing with the Christmas merriment students performed choreography on “Born to Love”. They depicted that in Bethlehem, God gave us the source of Christmas joy, the birth of Jesus Christ who was a Savior from above, and His love would redeem us to His plan and show us we were “Born to Love”.

The most awaited moment was “Arrival of Santa” who had a merry time with the gathering and distributed gifts among students. At the end all enjoyed the fellowship and relished the banquet together as a family in beautifully decorated and illuminated College of Nursing.
