Collaborative Plantation drive undertaken 

Chandigarh, August 22, 2022: A collaborative Plantation drive was undertaken by the Departments of Arts Block No. II, Panjab University, Chandigarh.  The Departments included Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology, Department of Education, Department of History and Department of Physical Education.  The Plantation Drive was conducted in the lawns  adjacent to Arts Block II on 22.8.2022 at 11.30 A.M.   Total number of ten saplings were jointly planted by the chairpersons, faculty, students and non-teaching staff of the above Departments.  The saplings were provided by the Horticulture department, Panjab University. A total of five dedicated malis helped in the plantation of saplings.  It may be pointed out that the saplings planted last year in a similar collaborative manner are all growing very well and adding to the greenery of the University thanks to the care of the malis.  The Chairpersons of Department of Education, Prof. Kirandeep Singh, Department of Physical Education,  Prof. Dalwinder Singh, Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology, Prof. Paru Bal Sidhu and Mr.  Singla, Junior Engineer, Dept. of Horticulture were present.
