CMRIT Celebrates Inauguration of Academic Year 2025-26 with Felicitation of VTU, Academic, and Sports Toppers and Recognition of Alumni and Industry Leaders

Bengaluru, September 27, 2025: CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) proudly marked the beginning of its Academic Year 2025-26 with a grand inaugural ceremony at its campus, celebrating academic excellence, innovation, and leadership. The event was graced by eminent dignitaries from governance, technology, and education.
Dr. Sanjay Jain, Principal of CMRIT, welcomed the gathering and shared the vision of the institution to nurture ambitious students, enabling them to grow into successful professionals and responsible citizens of the nation.
The inauguration of the academic programmes was led by Dr. AVS Ramesh Chandra, IFS (Retd.), former Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and Ramya Hemmige Venkatesh, Vice President,  Human Resources, Profinch.
In his address, Dr. Ramesh Chandra emphasised that “Engineers are vital to realising the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, and CMRIT’s focus on advanced training in data science is empowering students to become innovative, disciplined entrepreneurs and leaders of tomorrow.”
Ramya Hemmige Venkatesh, in her speech, highlighted the importance of experiential learning, resilience, and adaptability. Adding a refreshing perspective, she redefined CHAT GPT as “chatting with friends, parents, and teachers,” stressing the value of continuous dialogue in fostering innovation.
Dr. K.C. Ramamurthy, IPS (Retd.), Chairman of CMR Group of Institutions, and former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, inspired the audience with his words: “We are dedicated to empowering our students to become leaders across all domains. Dream big, contribute to the growth of your country, and success will follow.” He encouraged students to embrace challenges with courage, reminding them that struggles are an integral part of one’s journey to success.
As part of the celebrations, 126 students were felicitated for their outstanding achievements in VTU, academics, and sports, and the contributions of faculty, alumni and industry delegates were also recognized. Over 1,400 students and parents witnessed the occasion, making it a memorable milestone in CMRIT’s journey of excellence.
Other distinguished guests present included Dr. B. Narasimha Murthy, Vice Principal, and the Heads of the Departments of CMR Institute of Technology, whose support elevated the spirit of the ceremony.
