CMR University Honors Educators at Teachers’ Day Celebration 2025
CMR University proudly hosted its annual Teachers' Day Celebration on Wednesday, 10th September 2025, at the OMBR Campus Auditorium. The event was a grand occasion, honoring the dedication and excellence of educators who have made significant contributions to the field of education.

Bengaluru, September 10, 2025: CMR University proudly hosted its annual Teachers' Day Celebration on Wednesday, 10th September 2025, at the OMBR Campus Auditorium. The event was a grand occasion, honoring the dedication and excellence of educators who have made significant contributions to the field of education.
During the celebration, distinguished teachers and academics were recognized for their invaluable contributions. Honorees included Dr. M V Srinivas, Professor of History (Retd.) University of Mysore, Prof. B R Srinivasa Murthy, Former Registrar & Professor (Retd.) IISc, Bengaluru & Chairman, Task Force for Quality Assurance in Public Work, Government of Karnataka, Dr. K Shesha Murthy, Former Dean, Vijaya Academy for Information Technology, Bengaluru & Former Syndicate Member, Rani Channamma University, Davanagere University, Karnataka.
Dr. H. B. Raghavendra, Vice-Chancellor of CMR University, extended a warm welcome to all guests and the audience at the event. He stated, “Education is the cornerstone of a progressive society, and our educators are the architects of this progress. Today, we honor their tireless efforts and celebrate the profound impact they have on our students and the broader community.”
After felicitating the honorees, Dr. K. C. Ramamurthy, IPS (Retd.), Chairman of CMR Group of Institutions & CMR University, and Former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), said, “The knowledge system has undergone a sea change with various tools available, including AI. However, nothing can replace a teacher. Updating one’s knowledge in the respective areas, beyond textbooks, is an absolute necessity.
The celebration also witnessed the release of five books by Prasaranga, CMR University, authored by faculty across various schools, adding a unique dimension to the Teachers’ Day event. The occasion was graced by other dignitaries including Dr. Praveen R., Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Dhanamjaya M., Registrar, as well as the Deans and Directors of various schools.”
