CMC&H to hold blood donation camp on 23rd International Thalessemia Day

Ludhiana, May 6, 2014: The Department of Pediatric Medicine and the Unit of Transfusion Medicine are holding a Medicos Voluntary blood donation drive to celebrate the 23rd International Thalassemia Day on May 8.  “The voluntary blood donation will start at 8.30AM and is expected to go on till 4 PM on that day”, said Dr Jugesh Chhatwal, HOD, Pediatrics.
Dr S.M Bhatti Principal, C.M.C& H said that MBBS  students from all the batches have been given special permission to donate blood.
Medical Superintendent, Dr Kanwal Masih said that Medical Students of CMC Hospital regularly donate blood for needy patient and that he is happy to know that they are donating for Thalassemia children.
Dr. Abraham G. Thomas,Director  C.M.C & Hospital said that the Physiotherapy and Nursing College  Students will also donate blood for Thalassemia  children in the future.
