Ludhiana, July 5, 2022: 50 year old gentleman, a Non-Resident Indian was brought to the Emergency Department of Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana and was admitted under Department of Neurosurgery with a penetrating injury by a wooden piece when he fell down on it accidentally.

The wooden piece had penetrated from left eye and went through the nose, cribriform plate and penetrated anterior skull base and was lodged in the Frontal lobe of Brain. He was investigated with a plain CT scan of the head with 3D reconstruction.

This challenging case was taken up and discussed with a team of Doctors which included Dr. Sarvpreet Singh Grewal, Professor and Head, Dr. Paul Sudhakar John, Associate Professor from Department of Neurosurgery, Dr. Navneet Kumar, Professor and Head from Department of ENT and Dr. Pinky Pargal, Professor and Head from Department of Plastic Surgery.
