CM Nayab Singh Saini's address was heard virtually at the Good Governance Day program
On the occasion of Good Governance Day, a district-level programme was organized at the Conference hall of the Mini Secretariat. During the programme, the address of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was heard through virtual mode. The chief guest and other dignitaries paid floral tributes to the portrait of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and paid their respects.
Rohtak, December 25, 2025: On the occasion of Good Governance Day, a district-level programme was organized at the Conference hall of the Mini Secretariat. During the programme, the address of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was heard through virtual mode. The chief guest and other dignitaries paid floral tributes to the portrait of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and paid their respects.
The chief guest of this district-level programme, former Haryana Minister Manish Kumar Grover, said that Good Governance Day can be made meaningful only by promoting transparent, accountable and citizen-centric administration. He said that improving the quality of life of citizens is true good governance. He said that this day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, with the objective of creating awareness about accountability and transparency in government functioning so that governance becomes accessible and efficient for all. Remembering late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Grover said that his entire life was devoted to the ideals of peace, coexistence, equality, justice and fraternity.
Former Minister Grover said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee never hesitated to appreciate leaders from opposition parties who worked in the national interest. He recalled that Vajpayee had praised the leadership and diplomacy of Indira Gandhi, which led to India’s decisive victory in the 1971 war. Vajpayee was counted among global leaders of stature. Grover further said that it is relevant even today that by adopting Vajpayee’s ideals, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously committed to making India a world leader.
He said that the state government led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is also working day and night in the service of the people by following the principles of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He added that Haryana’s merit-based recruitment system has become a model for the entire country. Grover said that under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, the Rohtak district administration is working day and night for public welfare.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta thanked all the guests present at the programme and said that on the occasion of Good Governance Day, all heads of departments should pledge that their functioning remains accessible, effective and trustworthy for citizens, so that positive changes are brought in every citizen’s life.
He emphasized that all departments should work in a planned manner for the coming year to provide memorable services and facilities to the general public. Focusing on welfare schemes of the state government, the Deputy Commissioner said that each department must ensure that the benefits of their schemes reach every single eligible person at the grassroots level. He said that late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee also envisioned that the last person standing in the queue should receive his rightful entitlements.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta honoured the chief guest Manish Kumar Grover, BJP State Treasurer Ajay Bansal and others by presenting them with shawls and mementos.
On the occasion of Good Governance Day, officers and employees who performed commendable work at the district level were honoured with awards by chief guest Manish Kumar Grover and Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta. The awardees included Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramesh Chandra, SMO Dr. Reeta Goyal, Medical Officer Dr. Komal, BEE Poonam, DIPRO Sanjeev Saini, BI Sunny Dev Kumar, JE Surya Dhanakhar and ATP Tilkaraj.
In addition, four district officers were honoured by CM Nayab Singh Saini at the state-level Good Governance Day held in Panchkula. These included Consultant Tushar Singh Bodwal, FLN Coordinator Rupanshi Hooda, DEO Manjeet Malik and DEEO Diljit Singh.
On this occasion, SDM Sampla Utsav Anand, SDM Rohtak Ashish Kumar, MD of Rohtak Sugar Mill Shweta Suhag, MD of Meham Sugar Mill Mukund Tanwar, DRO Pramod Chahal, DDPO Rajpal Chahal, Secretary of District Sainik Board Wing Commander Gaurika Suhag, Civil Surgeon Ramesh Chandra and officers from all departments were present.
