CM Jai Ram Thakur will participate in proceedings of the House on last day

Dharamsala, December 14, 2021: CM Jai Ram Thakur, who went to Varanasi for the meeting of the Chief Minister's Council, will participate in the proceedings of the House on the last day of the assembly session.  The Chief Minister will reach Dharamsala at 9:00 am.  Earlier there were speculations that now the Chief Minister would not be able to return to the session.  But after a special request, Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has returning back only after 1 day from the meeting of the CM Council.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a special meeting in Varanasi with Chief Ministers from across the country including Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.  The opposition was also raising many questions when the Chief Minister went to the special meeting.  But now on the last day of the session, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will participate in the proceedings of the assembly.

The government has issued orders for action against the officials who do not send the daily wages of MNREGA workers on time.  This information was given by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virendra Kanwar in the House on Tuesday.  During the Question Hour, Congress MLAs Jagat Singh Negi and Asha Kumari raised the question related to non-payment of wages to MGNREGA workers for five months in the House.  In his reply, Minister Virendra Kanwar said that the government has kept a budget of 100 crores for the daily wage of MGNREGA workers, in which 80 crores have been released.  Now the money of MNREGA workers will be deposited in their accounts on time.  Earlier, Congress MLAs said that the government is not putting the money of laborers on time.  Whereas under the law, MNREGA workers should get daily wage money in their account within 15 days.  The members of the opposition demanded action against such officers, on which the minister told the House that action had been ordered against such officers.

Members of Tibetan parliament lead by their speaker Khempo Sonan visited Himachal Assembly in Dharamsala on Tuesday. The delegation of 13 members remain present in the House before lunch on the 4th day of winter session of HP Assembly 2021 in Tapovan Dharamsala and witnessed the proceeding of the House. The speaker of the HP Assembly Vipin Parmar welcomed the Tibetan Parliamentarians.
