New Delhi/ Jalandhar, January 24, 2014: Haryana Chief Minister  Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced that a family member of those soldiers of Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces hailing from Haryana and Police Personnel of State who achieve martyrdom will be given  a job on compensatory grounds besides a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh.

Hooda was addressing on the occasion of Passing Out Parade of 133 CRPF Officers at CRPF Academy Kadarpur in district Gurgaon today. As many as 133 officers of CRPF joined their ranks as assistant Commandants today after completing rigorous training of 53 weeks at the Academy which was set up in 2002. Out of these 133 officers, six are women officers. Besides taking salute of the attractive march past,  Hooda presented awards to those officer trainees who excelled in various fields during their training.

In his address, Hooda said that the CRPF officers need to remain geared up with the latest techniques and knowledge as it keeps on changing very fast. This is key to success. He said that the feeling of determination, self confidence and high morale on your faces clearly depict the success of their training. He said that the Academy has set up high ideals of professionalism, courage and dedication. At that same time, Hooda said, “The country and CRPF has high hopes from you officers who are leaders of future. You are the Gazetted Officers of largest Para Military Force in the world”. This is a demanding career which is full of challenges. At the same time, he hoped that the officers would be able to face every challenge. He said that CRPF has a commendable history and traditions of valor. In the past, the Force had always posed a challenge for the enemies on internal security front. Be it naxalism, terrorism and any difficult situation, CRPF is the first to be remembered and called during hard times,  Hooda added.

Earlier, in his welcome address,  Dilip Trivedi, DG CRPF said that these officers were put to 53 weeks of rigourous training, indoor and outdoor subjects with thrust on Law, C.I Operations, Tactics, Jungle Survival, Police-Public Relations, Human Rights and developing shooting skills under combat conditions.

Savita Kumari, AC, was declared All Round Best Trainee and was presented Sword of Hounour and Home Minister’s Cup by the Chief Minister  Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Vinod Singh, AC, declared Best Outdoor Trainee, while  Govind Singh Negi won Best Indoor Trainee Trophy.

The officers of his batch come from 20 States and Union Territories of India in keeping with the All India character of the CRPF. The multiple cultures, languages, regions, religions, beliefs and practices they came with have gradually and imperceptibly been merged into one national and patriotic feeling of serving the mother India.
