CM D Yogashala: Thousands of people in Ludhiana are benefiting from yoga due to the initiative of Punjab Government

The "CM D Yogashala" scheme launched by the Punjab Government is proving to be an important step towards providing free yoga education to the citizens of the state. The aim of this scheme is to make yoga a mass movement by taking it to the masses. Under this campaign led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a special team of certified yoga teachers has been formed who are constantly working to improve the physical and mental health of the people.

Ludhiana, 06 May 2025: The "CM D Yogashala" scheme launched by the Punjab Government is proving to be an important step towards providing free yoga education to the citizens of the state. The aim of this scheme is to make yoga a mass movement by taking it to the masses. Under this campaign led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a special team of certified yoga teachers has been formed who are constantly working to improve the physical and mental health of the people.

Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana, Mr. Himanshu Jain informed that thousands of people of Ludhiana district are benefiting from the CM D Yogashala scheme. He has directed all the BDPOs of the district to connect as many citizens as possible with this scheme so that they can experience the benefits of yoga. He informed that at present yoga classes are being run at a total of 195 places in Ludhiana district and so far 9861 people have registered under this scheme. 

Under the Chief Minister Yogashala Abhiyan, trainers in various blocks of Ludhiana district are making people aware of yoga with their hard work and dedication. These include Avtar Singh and Satvir Singh from Block Raikot, Rahul Kumar Sharma from Block Sudhar, Rajesh Kumar Lakhera from Halwara, Inderjit Kaur from Sidhwa Bet, Madhup and Suryakant Kumar from Jagraon, Jujhar Singh Yadav and Rishabh from Pakhwal, Dharmdev Sharma from Delo, Manjit Kaur from Malod, Rajkumar from Doraha, Iqbal Kaur and Kasvi from Khanna, Manpreet Singh and Divyanshi Srivastava from Samrala, and trainers like Amardeep Singh, Inderjit Kaur, Lakshmi, Neha, Sonarani, Naina Sharma, Abhishek, Aryan, Monica, Amarjit, Ramandeep Kaur, Preeti Negi, Arun Kumar Chaudhary, Srishti, Shakti, Shubham Semwal, Harjeet Kaur, Harshit, Ritambara and Amandeep Kaur from Machhiwara Sahib.

 People are not only getting mentally and physically empowered by participating in yoga activities like meditation, subtle exercise, gross exercise, yogasana, pranayama, and Surya Namaskar, but are also getting relief from many diseases like diabetes, asthma, sciatica, migraine, back pain, knee pain, high and low BP.

CMD Yogashala is once again proving that yoga is not only an ancient practice but it is also an effective medium to improve the quality of life.
