Closing ceremony of 31st annual athletic meet conducted at GGN Public school

Ludhiana, November 8, 2017: G.G.N Public School, Rose Garden, Ludhiana organised the closing ceremony of 31st Annual Athletic Meet with great enthusiasm and fervor today. S.Teja Singh Dhaliwal, Secretary, Punjab Basket ball Association was the Chief Guest on the grand occasion . The Director Principal of the school, S.Karnail Singh, accorded a floral welcome to the Chief Guest and said that the presence of legends from the field of sports inspires the budding athletes to emulate the great personalities and motivate them to follow their footsteps. The Chief Guest took the salute from the impressive march past performed by the students .The captivating gidha performance depicting the rich culture of Punjab was mind blowing and stole the hearts of everyone . The Chief Guest congratulated the winners and felicitated them with medals and certificates . In his motivational address to the athletes , he said that games and sports are indispensable part of education and are necessary for the holistic growth of the personalities of the students. Dr. S.P. Singh, Honorary General Secretary, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council , Ludhiana extended vote of thanks on this occasion. The dignitaries from the Managing Committee honoured the Chief Guest with a souvenir. The mega event was graced by the presence of S. Kuljeet Singh and S. Hardeep Singh members of Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council, Ludhiana .
Karan Verma of MRS House and Harsimran Kaur of MRS House were declared as Best Athletes Under 19 Category . Rajbir Singh of MRS house and Jasnoor Kaur of HSN house emerged as Best Athletes Under-16 category and Harnoor Singh of APS house and Gurleen Kaur of HSN house clinched the title of Best Athletes Under- 14 Category. The Champions’ Trophy was bagged by MRS House.
