Chandigarh, March 6, 2026: A cleanliness drive was organised today under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Teja Singh Hall (Boys Hostel No. 6), Panjab University, aimed at promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness, and a sense of community responsibility among hostel residents.
The event was organized by Dr. Anuj Kumar, Coordinator of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Panjab University. Many students from various departments actively participated in this noble initiative, demonstrating enthusiasm and dedication toward keeping their surroundings clean. The drive primarily focused on cleaning the lawns, corridors, and mess area of Boys Hostel No. 6.
Volunteers diligently collected waste, segregated it into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories, and ensured its proper disposal.
Subash Chander Maggon, Rakesh, Kamal, Jaswant, Narender Kumar, and Ramashish were also present at the event.
Overall, the cleanliness drive was a great success, leaving a positive impression on the participants and reinforcing the importance of individual responsibility in environmental conservation.
