Cleanliness and Revival of ‘Buddha Nullah’- Initiative of Bajaj College
Ludhiana, January 19, 2019: Bajaj College, Ferozepur road, Ludhiana organised an event to initiate a cleanliness drive amongst the youth for the heritage of Ludhiana, Buddha Nullah. In this event, an eminent personality of Punjabi literature world, Jaswant Singh Zafar, was the Guest speaker. He motivated the students to live a great life in which they rise above their personal needs and try to work for their surroundings. He asked the students to join hands with their fellow beings and accomplish a societal task. Guest of the occasion asked the young blood to create awareness in the city people to come forward for the purification of Buddha Nullah which is a cause of increasing cancer patients not only in Punjab but also in the adjoining states where the polluted water of Buddha Nullah is discharged. Zafar informed the students that on 27th January, ‘Aan Milo Daariyao’, an awareness event will be organised in Ludhiana wherein personalities from different fields will give their presence for this cause. The second speaker for the event was Kamal Sandhu who aroused the students to bring back the historical respect of Buddha Nullah. The principal and management of the college presented Token of Love to the esteemed guests.
