The state government has failed in providing the basic facilities to the public and the poor condition of roads is describing the entire tale. The residents are troubled with potholes and water stagnation on the roads.

Ludhiana, September 12,2025: The residents in Ludhiana had voted for a change by electing Aam Aadmi Party MLAs on all six urban constituencies but now the kind of change they are witnessing has left people in lurch. The state government has failed in providing the basic facilities to the public and the poor condition of roads is describing the entire tale. The residents are troubled with potholes and water stagnation on the roads.
The MC has started patch work in some of the areas but mostly roads are poor condition and need reconstruction. In the coming month, festivals will start and poor condition of roads will make people cry while driving on roads.
The AAP MLAs who are asking for more funds from central government should first clarify how much fund the city has received from the state government for the development works. The majority of works are being done by the MC through central government schemes.
In their 3.5 years tenure, how many projects are being carried out by the funds through state government. The roads, water supply, streets lights etc are in poor shape. The central government has given Rs 1600 crore for flood affected areas of Punjab and under many schemes more help will be provided but the state government should clear what has been done by the AAP government for Ludhiana.
