Chandigarh: Chandigarh based NGO 'I Am Still Human'(IASH) has stood up in support of the ongoing farmers' protest against the recently passed farm laws. The NGO has donated blankets, sanitary pads, masks, sanitizers, toothpastes and other necessary essentials to aid the 'Anndaata', who are protesting peacefully on the roads at the Delhi borders in this historic movement.

The young founder of IASH Vivek Mehra and his team travelled to Delhi's Singhu border and distributed the essentials to the protesting farmers.

Vivek Mehra said, "We are really proud of the farmers of our country and wholeheartedly support their ongoing protest for their legitimate rights. Their determination of protesting on the roads in the cold Delhi weather is truly admirable."

Mehra added, "I have admitted my father in the hospital as he's to undergo a lung surgery . But despite this I felt that we could not let our personal problems however huge they might be, deter us from doing our bit for the farmers, to whom we owe a debt that can never be repaid."

Bhavpreet Singh, a senior member of the IASH team who accompanied Vivek Mehra said, "The reports of farmers dying  amid the protest are really disheartening and we'll do whatever it takes to help them in their struggle. We sincerely believe that farmers are the reason that we are alive and we will stand by them no matter what. 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan'!"

It is noteworthy to mention that 'I Am Still Human' has worked tirelessly during the COVID19 lockdown for which it has been honoured as well. Besides this the NGO has worked sincerely for the distressed people in Amphan cyclone which did considerable damage in West Bengal and even Assam floods. The NGO works majorly for the welfare of the armed forces and civil society.
