Ludhiana: City-based senior citizen and social activist Dr Satish Thaman has written to Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh while appreciating the work being done by Punjab Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Ludhiana Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu and Ludhiana Improvement Trust chairman Raman Balasubramaniam.

He has termed Ashu, Sandhu and Balasubramaniam as the “symbols of congress leadership”. 

He has requested the chief minister to allot more responsible posts to these three personalities of Ludhiana. 

Dr Thaman, a resident of Rishi Nagar, has termed Ashu as an “excellent minister”, Sandhu as the “best administrator” and Balasubramaniam as the “perfect chairman”.

He lauded the trio for bringing the Ludhiana city on the path of progress with their active support. 

Further, he said with the tireless efforts of trio the problems of Ludhiana city have been solved.

However, he added few “misguided people” are always opposing appreciable working of the state government and their representatives.

He advised to Punjab Government to constitute constituency wise watchdog committees in each area/circle of Punjab to propagate the services being rendered to masses to apprise people about the working being done as per the election manifesto. Dr Thaman has also suggested the chief minister to hold a conference / conclave in mega city of Ludhiana to propagate the same.
