CICU, UCPMA & LETS hold deliberations with PPCB chairman and others regarding release of disconnections and sealing of industrial units

Ludhiana, January 17, 2014: A meeting under the Chairmanship of Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Minister for PWD, Punjab along with Hira Singh Gabria, Rajinder Bhandari, Ravinder Singh, Chairman, Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) was held to resolve the issues related to the disconnection of power and sealing of 56 industrial units at Ludhiana, today. 

Avtar Singh, President CICU, Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU, Charanjit Singh Vishavkarma, President, UCPMA, Lalit Sharma, Member of Board, Ravinder Arora pleaded the case of industries and requested the PPCB Chairman to release the disconnections and sealing of aforesaid Industrial Units.

After the deliberations, a consensus was made that those Industrial Units which become members of LETS & JBR and install Storage Tanks for collection of effluents, should be released disconnection and sealing immediately, after verification of PPCB Officials and Industrial Representatives.
