CICU powered initiative to boost “start-up culture” in Punjab

Ludhiana, September 13, 2022: To continue the activities of Start-Up in Punjab, CICU held a Start-Up Meet to explore the new ideas by youngsters and help them to execute their ideas by providing Technical, Marketing or any other assistance required by them.

Presentations were made by youngsters to the audience like Janvee Aneja, Mukul Thakur, Lovish Bawa with Startup name-MISSPODCAST, Mohd. Amir, Co-Founder - Mahima Singh Startup name-ROBO2WIN, Deepanshu Jain & Daksh Startup name-3 D Coderz, Mandeep Kumar Startup name-Triangle Wheels Pitch Deck by: Dr. Girish Sapra, Startup name- Green Brigade Pvt. Ltd.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU while giving his opening remarks said there are 100s of Startups with different and unique business models, for Industry Start-ups with lean manufacturing technology are very useful. Startup should have clear idea from beginning and execution should not derail from original idea. He stressed on development of strong product which is of better quality, low cost, B2B & B2C, patent protected, high aftersales service and communication.

He also highlighted the importance of goal setting, time bounding execution, personal upskilling of stake holder/employees, transparency in organization, planning and right information from right people.

J.S Bhogal, Organizing Secretary, CICU shared that Startup’s are the platform to break the barrier and to get the opportunities in this world. There are a lots of ideas to be a successful startup. He encourages the youngster to take coaching as well as mentorship to strengthen their roots and ideas.

S.B Singh, Joint Secretary, CICU talked about entrepreneurs can get benefits from the schemes offered by the Govt. of India like PMEGP, CLCSS, Fiscal incentive and Startup India Scheme. He also mentioned that to be a successful startup they should focus on Customer acquisition, pricing, conversion percentage, barrier of growth, brand building, IPR, USP and Scale of Business.
The price of Rs. 21, 000 to 5 best startups winners were also distributed to Tanveer Singh Cheema (GGI) – Renao Robotics, Aditi Dwivedi (PCTE - Nap Pads Solutions), Anmol Bhatia, BANC, ESHA – (PCTE - BamWood), Shubhangam Kumar Jha – (PCTE – Saundh).
The meeting was attended by more than 60 participants from different colleges and institutes of Punjab.
