Ludhiana, August 12, 2019: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana is to organize “Mass Planation Drive and Environment Excellence Award” on August 14, to make the city green, pollution- free and motivate and honour the individuals, companies and NGOs doing efforts for maintain the pollution in the Ludhiana.
20 individuals, companies and NGOs submitted their nominations and will be honored by Prof.Satwinder Singh Marwaha, Chairman, Punjab Pollution Control Board.
CICU president Upkar Singh and general secretary Pankaj Sharma, in a joint statement, said that the objective of this program is to control the pollution, make it eco-friendly and speared the information to others.
They added CICU has been organizing this event for the last 20 years to maintain the environment and awareness about control the pollution. CICU will plant of 5,000 plants in specific areas of Ludhiana, where greenery rank is low.
