Ludhiana, October 4, 2025: The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) organized a specialized training session on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 at the CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana, with the objective of strengthening the technical competence of testing and calibration laboratories and helping them achieve international accreditation.
The training focused on important aspects of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, including risk and opportunities, process requirements, execution and control, management systems, and planning. These guidelines are crucial for ensuring reliability, quality assurance, and global recognition in testing and calibration practices.
The session was conducted by Prem K. Sharma, expert trainer and assessor at the CICU-SSC Technical Centre, who provided participants with practical knowledge and effective strategies for the implementation of the standard.
On this occasion, Upkar Singh Ahuja, President of CICU, emphasized the need for industries in Punjab to adopt international quality standards to remain globally competitive. He highlighted CICU’s continuous efforts in providing knowledge-driven programs that empower members to upgrade their systems, enhance credibility, and expand their business opportunities at the global level.
