CICU Organises Industry-Focused Seminar on MSMEs, Government Grants, Subsidies and Trademark Protection

Ludhiana, September 14, 2026: The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) organised an industry-focused knowledge seminar on “MSME, Grants & Subsidies, and Trademark” at CICU Complex, Phase-V, Focal Point, Ludhiana, with the objective of helping industrialists and MSMEs better understand government support schemes, incentives and intellectual property protection. The seminar brought together industry members, entrepreneurs and business professionals and focused on practical information that can directly help businesses in their growth and expansion.
The programme covered three important areas through dedicated sessions on MSME, Grants & Subsidies, and Trademark. The speakers explained the opportunities available to businesses and highlighted the importance of proper documentation, awareness of government schemes and protection of business brands. The sessions were delivered by Aarushi Mahajan, Trademark Expert; Aditi Sharma, MSME Specialist; Ishaan Mahajan, Grants & Subsidies Advisor; and Aditya Malhotra, Grants & Subsidies Advisor.
CICU President Upkar Singh Ahuja said, “For an MSME, knowledge of government schemes and incentives is not an option—it is a business advantage. CICU will continue to bring practical and reliable guidance directly to the industrial community so that our entrepreneurs can make better use of government support, protect their brands and become more competitive in domestic as well as international markets.”
He further emphasised that many MSMEs are eligible for various government benefits but are unable to access them due to lack of awareness, incomplete documentation or limited understanding of the applicable procedures. Such industry-oriented sessions, he said, can bridge this gap and enable entrepreneurs to take informed decisions. The seminar also highlighted the growing importance of Trademark registration and brand protection for businesses, particularly at a time when Ludhiana's MSMEs are expanding into new domestic and international markets.
CICU officials stated that the Chamber will continue organising such practical knowledge sessions on government schemes, finance, taxation, exports, technology, compliance and other subjects directly relevant to the day-to-day needs of industry. The event concluded with interaction between the speakers and participants, allowing industrialists to discuss their specific business-related queries and seek practical guidance.
