CICU organised 12th & 13th League Matches of S.Angad Singh Memorial - 9th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2023

Ludhiana, November 5, 2023: CICU organised 12th and 13th League Matches of S. Angad Singh Memorial - 9th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2023 on 5th Nov. 2023 were played between the teams of Ganga Acrowools V/s Moonlight Auto and TK Steels Rolling Mills V/s Ralson India Ltd. at Cricket Grounds of GRD Academy Hambran Road, Ludhiana.

 
The 12th league match toss was won by Moonlight Auto and decided field first. Ganga Acrowools team scored 170 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets and Moonlight Auto team scored 115 runs in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. The match was won by Ganga Acrowools by 55 runs. Mr. Vijayinder of Ganga Acrowools scored 38 runs with 5 fours in 32 balls and he was declared best batsman. Birkha of Ganga Acrowools took 2 wickets by giving 12 runs in 4 overs and he was declared best bowler.

 
The 13th league match toss was won by TK Steels Rolling Mills and decided bat first. TK Steels Rolling Mills team scored 129 runs in 16.2 overs by losing 10 wickets and Ralson India Ltd. team scored 130 runs in 17.3 overs by losing 6 wickets. The match was won by Ralson India Ltd. by 4 wickets. Mr. Prabhjot of Ralson India Ltd. scored 52 runs with 7 fours and 2 sixes in 32 balls and he was declared best batsman. Mr. Kaalu of TK Steels took 3 wickets by giving 23 runs in 4 overs and he was declared best bowler.

 
Upkar Singh Ahuja President CICU welcomed the Chief Guest, Sponsors, Teams and Other Cricket lovers. He further said that now cricket has become India’s national sport. Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings is proud to be hosting the 9th Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament. Playing cricket develops social skills, intellectual capacities & creativity and contributes a more disciplined attitude. He visited the ground to motivate the Teams Players to boost their morale.
 

Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU, a great cricket lover said that Ludhiana is full of cricket fans and a lot of enthusiasm is seen among youngsters for this tournament. Watching live sport at the cricket ground is a fun filled and awesome experience. He played the third ball of the first over and discussed the best practices of cricket. He expressed his thanks to the team managers, players and sponsors of the tournament to make it great success.
 

Many CICU Senior Members including Saurabh Bassi – MD – Moonlight Auto, Honey Behal – Plant Head – Moonlight Auto, DS Kalra – Unit Head Ganga Acrowools, Amrik Singh – Manager Technical – CICU and senior management persons of many companies visited the ground and motivated the teams. They appreciated the ground preparation and arrangements made by CICU Cricket Committee and N K Gupta Director CICU.
 

They also congratulated the winning teams i.e. Ganga Acrowools and Ralson India Ltd.
