CICU Ludhiana Expands Skill Development Efforts 

Ludhiana, July 2, 2025: The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana, has significantly broadened its commitment to industrial skill development by welcoming nearly 100 students from leading institutions to its training and internship programs. These students are from Thapar University, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), RIMT University, Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CCE Jhanjeri), Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT), GNA University, Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic College (GNDPC), R&D Polytechnic, CT University, and Gulzar Group of Institutes. The enrolled students are currently undergoing practical training at two key centers: the AWaDH Center (IIT Ropar) and the Reverse Engineering Lab at CICU, gaining valuable hands-on experience in industry-relevant technologies and practices. 
Speaking on the occasion, Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU motivated the students to take full advantage of this opportunity. He emphasized the importance of aligning their skills with the evolving needs of the modern industrial sector and encouraged them to remain proactive in acquiring practical knowledge. “The industry today demands skilled professionals who can bridge the gap between theory and practical implementation,” said Shri Ahuja. “We are proud to provide a platform where students can interact with real-time industrial processes and enhance their technical competencies.” Students have shown enthusiastic participation in practical assignments and interactive sessions, reflecting their eagerness to learn and contribute effectively to the industry in the future. 
Honey Sethi, General Secretary CICU also addressed the participants, motivating them to stay curious, work hard, and actively engage in practical learning. He highlighted CICU’s mission to empower the youth with industry-ready capabilities. CICU continues to play a pivotal role in fostering industry-academia collaboration, aiming to develop a skilled workforce for Punjab and beyond.
