CICU in forefront for industry academia collaboration

Ludhiana, August 24, 2021: Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU & CMD- New Swan Group while addressing the gathering, mentioned that technology upgradation is dire need of the industry. Acquiring technology from Countries like Japan, China, Korea, and USA are very costly. There are many success stories worldwide, where industry, Academia collaboration and do joint researches. Industry, in India it’s not successful. Colleges and Universities must focus on research and development and develop an eco-system to support industry in terms of Lean Manufacturing, Quality Improvement, Low Cost Automation, New Product Development, analytics, Digital Support etc. 

On the occasion he also recalled how CICU has signed MoU with Institutes like GNE, IIT (Ropar), CT University and other reputed colleges and Universities. CICU is always on the forefront of Industry Academia Collaboration. It organizes regular Industrial Visits programs and Job fairs time to time to bridge the gap.

Industry is egger to join hands with Institutions. He supported the view to have constructive educational curriculum programs with Industrial grooming and training the most integral part.

Prominent dignitaries Ashok Mittal, Chancellor LPU, Subhash Chandra Ralhan (Chairman-Board of Governors NIT), H.S. Cheema, Anil Puri, along with nearly 35 other dignitaries graced the occasion.
