CICU Holds Meeting on Pipeline Works in Focal Point Area
The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) held a constructive meeting with officials associated with the Canal-Based Ludhiana Bulk Water Supply Project to discuss the ongoing pipeline works in the Focal Point industrial area. Ludhiana, July 8, 2026: The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) held a constructive meeting with officials associated with the Canal-Based Ludhiana Bulk Water Supply Project to discuss the ongoing pipeline works in the Focal Point industrial area. The meeting was chaired by CICU General Secretary, Sh. Honey Sethi.
During the meeting, the project officials shared an update on the progress of the pipeline works and explained the long-term benefits of the project for Ludhiana's industrial sector. They also assured CICU that all possible efforts are being made to minimize inconvenience to industries during the execution of the work.
As CICU President Upkar Ahuja is currently abroad, it was mutually decided that a larger meeting with CICU members will be organized after his return. This meeting will provide an opportunity for industrialists to understand the project in detail and raise any queries or suggestions.
CICU reiterated that it has already extended its support to the project and had granted consent for the commencement of pipeline works in the Focal Point area. The Chamber expressed hope that the project would be completed in a timely manner while ensuring minimum disruption to industrial activities.
The project delegation was led by Executive Engineer Amarjeet Singh and included Assistant Engineer Jarnail Singh, Communication Specialist Jaspreet Singh, and Puneet Sharma, Engineer, KPIL.
