CICU holds interactive meeting with police department

Ludhiana, February 14, 2015: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana organised an interactive meeting between Punjab Police Department Officials and Ludhiana industrialists at CICU Complex, Ludhiana.  The Police officials told that the Police Department has launched an Agency which will provide the security cover to the industry.  This Agency will be authenticated by the Police Department.  The police officials explained that purpose of this scheme to create an environment of peace to the Industrialists.

Avtar Singh, President CICU welcomed the Guests and mentioned that the Police plays a very vital role for establishing peace amongst the Industrialists and it leads to a calm and peaceful atmosphere in the area and better productivity of the Industry.  He also requested the Police to increase the patrolling, especially; on the days of pay to avoiding mis-happening like snatching etc. with workers.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU mentioned that Industrialists should be given due respect whenever they visit to Police Stations and Offices in regard to any works or problems etc.

This Programme was conducted in coordination with  Jasdev Singh Sidhu, S.P-II and Rupinder Kaur, ACP (South).  Jasdev Singh told that the efforts are being made by the Police Department to provide better Law & Order situation in the City.  He also assured that the Industrialists’ issues will be taken on top priority and shall also be given due respect while visiting to the Police stations.

Rupinder Kaur explained that a Community Policing is being started for the benefits of Industrialists, Business Establishments & the Residents.  She further mentioned that the Agency will be authenticated by the Police Department and will have quick connection facility with police officials to avoid criminal activities and create a peaceful atmosphere in the City.
