CICU discusses issues regarding PPCB with Anurag Verma

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU (Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings) highlighted that deadline of mix land units is upto-2023, Govt. must take steps to extend the date of the same.

He also highlighted issues like Grant of Permanent Consent for Green Category Units, Speedy Setting up CETPs for Dyeing Industry, Setting up Separate Zone for Red Category Industries, Providing Subsidy and Low Cost Rate of Interest for Purchase of Equipment for Controlling Pollution, Flexibility in Disposal of Effluent upto 25% etc.

Further, CICU will send representation to the Govt., so that Industry can work smoothly.

Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU highlighted that Govt. has decided to Ban of Pet coke without providing any alternate source till permission should be given to use of pet coke. PPCB should give consent for atleast 5 years instead of 1 year. Consent fees should be reduced.

Anurag Verma, Principal Secretary, Environment, Science & Technology, Prof. Satwinder Singh Marwaha, Chairman, PPCB and Krunesh Garg, member Secretary assured that all the issues will be taken and resolve soon.

More than 100 senior industrialists attended the meeting some by namely Rajnish Ahuja, Ashwani Kumar, O.P Bassi, Rahul Gupta, Charanjiv Singh, Gursharan Singh, D.S. Chawla, President, UCPMA, Gautam Malhotra, Rajat Gupta, Anurag Verma, Atul Mahajan and others.
