CICU Delegation met Babette Desfossez, Trade Commissioner for Flanders, Embassy of Belgium, Delhi

Ludhiana, December 1, 2023: CICU Delegation headed by Upkar Singh – President CICU, met Babette Desfossez, Trade Commissioner for Flanders, Embassy of Belgium, Delhi and Daljit Singh Kohli, India Representative- Port of Antwerp-Bruges at the Hotel Radisson Blu, Ludhiana.

CICU team was comprising of Honey Sethi – Gen. Secretary, Didarjit Singh (VP-CICU), Gautam Malhotra (VP-CICU), Sanjay Dhiman (VP-CICU), Rajat Gupta (Press Sec.-CICU), Kanish Kaura (VP-CICU), Ajay Bharti from Steering Committee and  Swarn Dhiman – Director of Corporate Affairs-CICU. Rajesh Verma, President, CHA Association Ludhiana was also present in the meeting.

The delegation discussed bilateral trade opportunities available in India and Flanders. Ahuja presented the CICU working and interest of exporter members. Babette Desfossez and Diljit shared all the important information about Flanders trade policies.

Both the sides presented the strengths and business offerings of their nations and discussed about improving the trade between both the countries. 

Babette Desfossez assured to extend all the cooperation for any business operations in Flanders.

Ahuja highlighted the strengths of Punjab trade fraternity and  insisted on the manufacturing capacity. An invitation for the upcoming CICU’s 13th  MachAuto Expo was extended to the diplomats. Delegation members came-up with their queries with regard to the trade with Belgium.

Meeting was ended on a very good note for the benefit of the trade.
