Ludhiana, September 19, 2022: CICU regularly organizes many activities to benefit Punjab's industry and trade sectors. CICU has joined hands with DMCH Management for organizing a series of Free Health Check-Up Camps for industrial workers and staff to screen critically ill persons for further tests and treatment until they regain complete health.
 
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President of CICU under who’s dynamic leadership and vision this Free Health Check-up Program has been finalized with DMCH management headed by Dr. G.S. Wander, Head of Department of Cardiology, Dr. Bishav Mohan, Senior Cardiologist, and Medical Support. DMCH for improving the general health and fitness of industrial workers/staff which ultimately improves the productivity and smart work culture in industry and trade sectors.
 
For this CICU has conducted 4 days of skilling of HR Personnel for making them aware of techniques of conducting camps, between 30th July 2022 to 5th Aug 2022 to train them professionally for these camps in the future. HR Personnel from the Industry including Corporate GM, GM, and Managers/officers of more than 50 companies attended this training, passionately. Demo testing of various parameters with the latest digital BP apparatus, glucometer for sugar testing and weight and length testing, etc. were done for the HR persons attending this training.
 
These camps were started from 12th Aug. 2022 onwards in the companies’ i.e. New Swan Groups unit 1 to 6, Highway Industries Ltd. Unit 1 to 3, Ralson India Ltd., Texla Plastics and Metals Pvt. Ltd., Hotel Nirwana, Nicks India Tools and Metro Tyres Ltd. on 15th, 16th 17th and 19th Sept. 2022. On 20th Sept. 2022, a Mega Camp will be organized for workers of MSME units at Industrial Area – A and B, Shimlapuri, Gill Road, and Dashmesh Nagar, etc. for which wide publicity has been done by CICU in the catchment areas. Many more programs have been finalized for camps at Nicks India Tools for remaining workers from 21st to 26th Sept. 2022. In addition to this, DMCH teams have also organized camps at Hero Cycles Ltd. and Ganga Acrow Wools Ltd. These camps will be continued for the month of Sept. and Oct. 2022. It has been planned to cover more than 50000 workers and staff of various companies, who have already registered with CICU for these camps on their company’s premises.
 
Daily 2-3 teams of doctors and nurses led by Dr. (Prof.) R.K. Soni’s department of community health services from DMCH Ludhiana are conducting these camps under the programs finalized by CICU with the management of these companies. Sh. N K Gupta Director of CICU, who is in charge of this program from CICU is closely and hourly monitoring the daily progress of these camps for the best quality and desired results to make this mission successful, result oriented, and to achieve the objective of this mission. He is giving surprise visits to many camps to understand the ground reality and fine-tune the various activities for the best result.

He further expressed the hope that these camps will boast the morale of the workforce and employers for better productivity and work environment.
