CICU affiliated industrial associations share issues with CEE, PPCB and PPCB Teams

Ludhiana, May 23, 2023: A meeting was held at the office of Punjab Pollution Control Board, Focal Point, Ludhiana with representatives of Various Ludhiana Industrial Organizations to discuss the burning issues related to the PPCB at PPCB Office, Ludhiana.
 

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU highlighted the issues related to PPCB like setting up Separate Zone for Red Category Industries, charges for landfilling for industries, granting of permanent consent for green category units, flexibility in disposal of effluent up to 25%, prepare mechanism for use of husk ash and to prepare a mechanism for the treatment of HCL and other issues were discussed.
 

Er. Sandeep Bahl, Chief Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Ludhiana assured that all the issues will be taken with the higher authority and PPCB is always ready to help the industry by 24*7.
 

He also shared that dedicated Camps by PPCB will be organized in different locations to help the industry in getting their consent and other formally to facilitate the Industry. 
 

The meeting was attended by Narinder Bhamra, President, Fastener Manufacturers Association, Ramesh Kakkar, President, Jaspal Banger Association, Honey Sethi, General Secretary and J.S Bhogal, organizing Secretary, CICU, Jagbir Singh Sokhi, Ishwar Singh, Jugal Kishore, Atul Verma, Rajinder Goyal, Rupak Sood, R.K Gupta, Rajat Goyal and other prominent industrialists were present.
