CIA (Rural) Ambala arrests 5 criminals; 3 woman from Punjab

Ambala/Jalandhar, August  29,  2013: With the arrest of 5 persons, CIA Ambala police have claimed to have busted a gang of looters.

The gang has allegedly confessed to have committed several incidents of looting in Ambala district.  

This gang usually committed incidents by targeting women while giving them lift in their vehicle.

On having secret information, CIA/Rural Ambala have unearthed a gang while preparing plan to commit incident of loot and arrested 5 members of this gang including 3 women resident of Punjab from the area of PS Saha. One knife, 1 sword and iron roads were recovered from them. This gang has confessed 6 incidents of district Ambala, 5 of district Rural Ambala and one of Urban Ambala.

Rajbir Singh Deswal, Commissioner of Police, Ambala-Panchkula in a statement issued at Ambala on Wednesday said that CIA/Rural Ambala on secret  information about hatching conspiracy to loot in Saha area  on the pretext of giving lift in their car.

CIA/Rural conducted a raid and arrested, Sindro and Sillo resident of Bagrian District Sangrur (Punjab), Charno resident of Durai District Sangrur (Punjab), Uma Kant alias Robin resident of Nabagate Patiala District Sangrur (Punjab) and Narender Singh alias Banti resident of Ram Nagar Basti near Railway Station Sangrur (Punjab). They were allegedly preparing plan to commit incident of loot in this area and recovered weapons from their custody.

During interrogation, this gang has confessed 6 incidents  in district Ambala.

On   May 11, 2013 one incident was committed in the area of PS Mullana, in which one 60 years old lady was targeted and her 4 gold bangles were looted by giving her lift in the car near Sohan turn Mullan while she was going to Satsang.

 Another incident was committed in the area of PS Mahesh Nagar in which a lady Sakuntala was targeted and her 2 gold bangles were looted by giving her lift in the car from Bus Stand Maheshnagar to her house. In this regard a case is already registered in PS Mahesh Nagar.

On May 21, 2013, a lady Ram Murti resident of Churiayala was targeted and her 2 ear rings of gold were looted by giving her lift in the car from Mithapur. In this regard a case is registered in PS Saha. On August 6, 2013, a lady Devki was targeted by this gang by giving her lift in the car from bus stand Kalpi and her gold ear rings were looted. On August 7, 2013, a lady Dayal Kaur of village Basantpura was targeted near Barara railway crossing by giving her lift in the car and then smelled her some toxic substance and looted her gold ear rings, chain, bangles  and cash of Rs. 8,000 and she was left near Rajoulli by this gang. On August 17, 2013, one lady Kalasho Devi resident of Sohana who was gone to Mullana Civil Hospital was targeted at Mullana bus stand by giving her lift in the vehicle and looted her ear rings.
