Chugh welcomes 3 new Vande Bharat trains

Chandigarh, August 10, 2025: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh welcomed the inauguration of three new Vande Bharat trains – Bengaluru–Belagavi, Ajni–Pune, and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Amritsar – by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. He said these services will give a fresh push to fast, modern, and safe rail connectivity across different regions of the country. Vande Bharat trains, he noted, have now become a hallmark of India’s development, convenience, and cultural linkage.

Chugh gave special emphasis to the Katra–Amritsar Vande Bharat, calling it a powerful spiritual and cultural bridge between Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. The train will provide pilgrims and tourists with fast and comfortable access to sacred and historic destinations such as Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, and the Wagha Border. He said it will not only boost religious tourism but also strengthen the economy, create employment, and deepen people-to-people ties between the two regions.

Chugh added that this initiative is a living example of PM Modi’s vision to advance development while preserving heritage. For Punjab, he said, this is a historic gift that will benefit generations to come.
