Christmas Celebrations with International Students at GJIMT
Christmas was celebrated with great enthusiasm and festive spirit at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase-2, Mohali. The celebration proved to be especially memorable for the international students who are pursuing their education far away from their home countries. The campus was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees, colorful lights, and stars, creating a joyful festive ambiance.
Mohali, December 25, 2025: Christmas was celebrated with great enthusiasm and festive spirit at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase-2, Mohali. The celebration proved to be especially memorable for the international students who are pursuing their education far away from their home countries. The campus was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees, colorful lights, and stars, creating a joyful festive ambiance.
It is noteworthy that a large number of international students belonging to the Christian community study at Gyan Jyoti Institute, many of whom were unable to travel home during the Christmas holidays. To give these students a feeling of “home away from home,” the institute organized this special celebration, which turned out to be truly memorable.
The event featured a variety of engaging activities, including a cake-cutting ceremony, carol singing, musical chairs, dance performances, Santa Claus activities, fun games, and gift exchange. Students also showcased cultural performances representing different countries, reflecting a beautiful picture of multicultural harmony on campus. The celebration became even more joyful as students and staff exchanged surprise gifts, strengthening bonds of love and togetherness.
Students dressed as Santa Claus impressed everyone with a lively ramp walk, while all participants came together to cut a large Christmas cake and share sweets, spreading happiness all around.
Congratulating the students, Chairman of Gyan Jyoti Group, J. S. Bedi, said that the institute’s aim is to make international students feel that Gyan Jyoti is truly their ‘home away from home.’ He added that Christmas conveys the message of peace, unity, and selfless service.
Encouraging the students, Director Dr. Aneet Bedi said that seeing smiles on the faces of international students brings immense joy. Such events not only keep students connected to their own culture but also introduce them to the warmth of Indian hospitality. Music and laughter filled the campus with new energy. Students enthusiastically danced to DJ beats, including bhangra, and the celebration concluded with a grand community feast, where everyone enjoyed festive delicacies together.
