Chandigarh, July 26, 2013: The Punjab government has constituted a 6 member Single Window Committee under the chairmanship of the chief secretary Punjab for giving clearance for co-generation of Power in Sugar Industries.
Disclosing this here today , a spokesman of the government said that, the Secretary Science and Technology, Chairman Punjab State Pollution Control Board, Chairman Punjab State Electricity Board, Managing Director Sugarfed and Jarnail Singh Wahid of Wahid Sandhar Sugars Ltd, Phagwara would be the members of the newly constituted committee. Chief Executive PEDA would be the convener, he added.
He also said that the committee would consider the necessary and applicable approvals/clearances required for setting up of co-generation projects in sugar industries within a stipulated time frame of 60 days from the date of submission of complete applications.
