Chief Engineer, PSPSL assured to resolve issues of industry related to electricity

Ludhiana, August 9, 2023: An urgent meeting was called by CICU to interact with Er. Inderpal Singh Chief Engineer, PSPCL, Ludhiana to discuss the issue related to electricity.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, and Sh. Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU jointly mentioned that there are numerous issues related to the PSPCL. The major issue like the breakdown of electricity in focal point areas. They also shared the PSPCL-issued notices to the industry regarding the installation of the Quality meter, which is very costly for the Power Intensive Units. The cost should be reduced by the Govt.

O.P Bassi, Senior Member and Rahul Ahuja, Vice President, CICU shared that there is an immediate need to upgrade the feeders of Focal Point and the extension of load is still pending by the PSPCL.

Er. Inderpal Singh Chief Engineer, PSPCL, Ludhiana assured the members that multiple breakdowns are happening due to emergencies in the industry, and sure that our senior staff will take care of this issue by shutting down the electricity during lunch hours as well as shift changes. Instructions were given on the spot to the Senior Officers from PSPCL.

The meeting was attended by Dr. S.B Singh, Joint Secretary, CICU, Sarvjit Singh, Vice President, and senior officers from PSPCL were present.
