Chandigarh, January 23, 2014: The Vigilance Bureau Punjab has achieved a major breakthrough when chief cane development was trapped with the bribe money of Rs 1 lakh.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the vigilance bureau said that Jarmej Singh Rara, Chief Cane Officer B Fazilka, Co-operative Sugar Mill, Modiwala Pitha was nabbed on the complaint of Jaspinder Singh s/o Surjit Singh resident of Daulatpura, Tehsil Abohar, district Fazilka.
He said that Jaspinder Singh lodged a complaint against Jarmej Singh for demanding bribe of Rs. 1.50 lakh from him for registering statement in his favour in a case which was filed against him (Jaspinder Singh) during Panchayat election 2013. He said that finally the deal was matured for Rs. 1 lakh.
